DJ Joyful is an independent sound direction and DJ activity based in Lausanne, Switzerland, operating internationally. This policy has been drafted with reference to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable to visitors and clients in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we collect

Data you provide directly

  • Contact details you send us by email when requesting a proposal or booking (such as name, email address, event date, event location, agency or company, event type, expected guest count, and any details of your event brief).
  • Any other information you choose to include in your correspondence with us.

Data collected automatically

  • Technical information about your visit (such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type) collected through Google Analytics, as described in section 4.

We do not collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health, religious or political information) and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. How we use your data

  • To respond to enquiries and discuss event briefs, proposals and bookings.
  • To manage and coordinate confirmed engagements, including technical and logistical arrangements with trusted partners when required.
  • To maintain our business records and comply with legal or accounting obligations.
  • To understand how visitors use the Site and improve its content, using aggregated analytics.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics to understand overall visitor traffic and improve the browsing experience. We require such partners to handle your data responsibly and only for the purpose for which it was shared. We do not disclose your data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Your data may also be processed by service providers who host the Site or support our email correspondence, acting on our instructions.

6. International transfers

As DJ Joyful works internationally, personal data relating to an event taking place outside Switzerland may be processed in connection with that event. Where data is transferred outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to benefit from an adequate level of protection.

7. How long we keep your data

Enquiry and booking correspondence is kept for as long as necessary to manage the relevant event and any follow-up, and thereafter for the period required to meet legal, accounting or tax obligations. Analytics data is retained by Google in accordance with its own retention settings.

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to any legal retention obligations.
